perhaps the most recognizable of downtown tokyo's shibuya-kei movement, japan's cornelius (aka keigo oyamada) makes avante-electronic-pop music that has made him a teen idol in japan. the 1997 matador release "fantasma", is considered a "creative and commercial breakthrough, a kaleidoscopic, genre-hopping joy ride through contemporary musical history (amg)." his latest release on everloving, "sensuous", has met with similar acclaim, propelled by amazing concert performances like this featured recording. recorded at the metro january 2008, this performance features cornelius with his talented live band and a visual show that rivals anybody in the business (too bad you can't see it!). special thanks to the metro and everloving records.
